Unto all Youth Fighters and their parents,

As the headers says, this Sunday is the LAST Youth Fighter practice before
Pennsic. During Pennsic, you can fight every day, twice a day, plus
tourneys, against kids from all over the Known World! I highly encourage
youth fighters going to Pennsic to try it out. In particular, this Sunday
is a good time to find an adult fighter as a partner for the AEthelmearc
Youth Adult Tag Team Tourney, which is being held on Wednesday evening of
Peace Week at Pennsic.

Last Sunday we had SEVEN enthusiastic new youth fighters! At this rate the
kids will outnumber the adults soon... Who will join them this Sunday?

Youth Fighter practice runs from 2:00-5:00 pm at Washington Blvd. and
Allegheny River Blvd in the East End of Pittsburgh. The site is here

Loaner gear will be available for interested kids ages 6-17 who wish to try
youth combat. If your kid has any athletic equipment, especially elbow and
knee pads, hockey helmets and gloves, and for boys, athletic cups (groin
protection), please bring those along.

Remember that the site has no running water and only a portajohn for a
toilet. Bring a water bottle, and if you wish to have something to sit on
other than the grass, a folding chair is a good idea. Don't forget the
sunscreen.

There will be freezer pops!

Youth combat schedule going forward:

July 19 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd. LAST PRACTICE BEFORE PENNSIC
July 26-August 9 - NO PRACTICE, go to PENNSIC where you can fight every day!
August 16 - Fighter practice resumes at Washington Blvd.
August 23 - 2-5 pm at Washington Blvd.
August 29 (Saturday) - Youth Tourney at Iron Comet event!
August 30 (Sunday) - no practice, go to Iron Comet on Saturday.

See you this Sunday!
