Subject: Fwd: American Harp Society of Pittsburgh Hosts Harp Historian Nancy Hurrell

Dear friends,
First let me apologize for the late notice. Greetings from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Harp Society! Please disseminate the following to interested members of your group:

The Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Harp Society welcomes Nancy Hurrell on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Please join us for the Harp Tapestry Concert and Workshops!

Nancy is a noted harp historian and consultant for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Our day will begin with a lecture on the History of the Harp, followed by a Renaissance Dance Workshop in which we will not only learn the music but also learn to dance the steps! While bringing a harp to the workshop is recommended, it is not required.
The day will end with a concert of music from six centuries, played on six historic harps, with a reception to follow.

The event takes place in the Alumni Hall of the Fine Arts Building of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Admission is $10 per event or $25 for the entire day. Please see the attached flyer for more information or contact one of the following: Laura Lockard, event chairperson, 412-600-8894, Gretchen Van Hoesen, chapter president,
412-247-3916, or Becky Yuille, chapter secretary, 724-453-1292.

Many thanks to all,
Becky Yuille
