[SCA-BMDL] Purim Event in Trib?

I just tried to visit the Trib online page in question, and saw the
wine tasting, etc, but not the Purim event, so perhaps it has been
pulled.
I realize there are a number of very serious concerns with this, from
the standpoints of society rules (e.g. people should be aware they
should come in garb), logistics (e.g. the attendance limitation,
which may not have been reflected in the online copy), and especially
that the Trib should not have copied information from our website
without checking one of the organizers for permission, assuming this
is what happened. The latter, especially, if indeed unacceptable.
However, I'm a bit taken aback by the implication that the event is
not open to the public. Aren't all official events effectively open
to the public, within some fairly typical constraints (entrance fee,
member discounts, attendance or feast limits) that are published in
event announcements and that should be no surprise to any non-Scadian
attendee, and at least one implicit constraint (coming in garb) that
a non-Scadian wouldn't be expected to anticipate? To the extent any
of our events are not open to the public, this should be clearly
stated in announcements that we put on a publicly accessible
website. Aside from some Trib reporter finding it and clumsily
posting it, ordinary people could potentially find it in a web search
and decide to drop by. If some events are not open to the public, or
if events are open to the public but we want casual web-searchers to
be aware of the garb rules, we might want to have some standard
boilerplate language to add to event announcements when they are
posted to the web. This language shouldn't be required in Althing
and Aestel announcements, since these are going to people who should
be familiar with our rules.
