My experience is that camera and scanner profiles are rarely huge.
They are just simple additive devices and a 3x3 matrix ought to be
sufficient. I suppose the Aperio profile contains a linearising LUT as
well.

Printer profiles can be just enormous, so I would have concerns about
keeping them around longer than necessary.
