Instructions for using Openslide with VIPS?

I found the new build with open slide support on the download page today. I
had the 7.30.1 build that I downloaded back in early Oct.

Will I be able to create a tiled pyramidal data set in JPEG format from a
Mirax data set using VIPS with im_extract_bands?

Thanks,
Chris
