Questions on cyrus config directory...

Hello everyone.
I was playing around today with my cyrus test server. Basically, trying my
best to learn the ins and outs of it before I go live with the server.
Anyway, my config directory is /var/imap
I was looking around in there today, checking out the stuff that resides in
the mailbox.
While in there, I noticed something that struck me as odd: (at least I
thought it was odd :) )
Here is what I was looking at:
obsidian# pwd
/var/spool/imap/user/jwilliams
obsidian# ls -la
total 54
drwx------ 3 cyrus cyrus 512 Jan 29 14:56 .
drwx------ 5 cyrus cyrus 512 Jan 28 14:05 ..
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 3171 Jan 29 13:07 10.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 3166 Jan 29 13:09 11.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 977 Jan 28 14:20 2.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 3143 Jan 28 14:23 3.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 3155 Jan 28 14:26 4.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 3158 Jan 28 14:40 5.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 972 Jan 28 17:12 6.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 978 Jan 28 17:13 7.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 980 Jan 29 09:42 8.
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 991 Jan 29 12:47 9.
drwx------ 2 cyrus cyrus 512 Jan 29 14:56 Trash
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 13784 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.cache
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 163 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.header
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 596 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.index
This is my test account. What I found as odd or what I dont understand
(yet) is that it shows I have 10 messages in here. I was doing testing
earlier, sending messages to myself testing both cyrus and postfix as well
as other thing to ensure everything was working. However, once I completed
my testing, I deleted the emails using my mozilla client and then proceeded
to empty the trash...
obsidian# ls -l Trash/
total 6
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 4 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.cache
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 163 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.header
-rw------- 1 cyrus cyrus 76 Jan 29 14:56 cyrus.index
But I am confused as to why it is still showing 10 messages still in the box?
Granted, im still learning cyrus and have much to learn, but can someone
explain to me what is going on here?
I appreciate the help.
Jason
