IMAP uses a delete/expunge model. When you "delete" a message in IMAP,
it just sets a \deleted flag. In order to remove \deleted messages from
a mailbox, the client needss to send the EXPUNGE command.

When you delete a message in Mozilla (as you have it configured), it
sets the \deleted flag and also copies the message to your Trash folder
(thus counting twice against your quota). In order to remove the
\deleted messages, you need to "Compact Folders". "Empty Trash" simply
deletes and expunges the messages in your Trash folder.
