Hi,

I would like to alter cache size and other stuff for
BDB, but, when I try this

    # db_stat -m

I get an error message such as this:

db_stat: DB_ENV->open: No such file or directory

This is an otherwise working system (on Redhat 9), but every
now and then it slows down to crawl.

Hardwarewise, it is a

dual Xeon ( kernel 2.4.20-20.9 SMP)
   4GB RAM,
   850 GB on 3Ware 85xxx RAID5

We dont have too many users (around 200), but we do
have about 250 GB live data on it.

Do you think we need to throw more money to it, or is there
some way I can optimize it. Is there a way to get 'db_stat'
working?

This is the relevant (I think) SW on this box
