Saslauthd connection problem

Sorry to fill up the list with this, but I found the error.  Turns out /etc/rc.d/init.d/saslauthd was launching with the locket set to /var/run/saslauthd and everything else was looking for it in /var/state/saslauthd/

Again, sorry for the extra traffic and thanks for the help,
