Saslauthd connection problem

Is there a specific port which should be open for saslauthd communication?  143 and 993 are open for IMAP and 25 for SMTP.  Is there something else that I should open up?  I can't find anything in the documentation, so I'm guessing not, but I've been known to make mistakes before...
