'Disable' mailbox

Hello,

I'm trying to somehow 'disable' a mailbox, that is prevent mail from
being posted into it.

I tried changing the p flag, but if I understand things correctly, it is
on implicitly for inboxes, e.g. user.foo.

Is there some way to get around this and have a mailbox user.foo with no
post-acls, or do I need to move it somewhere else to do this, or is
there a smarter way to disable a mailbox without removing it?
