I've run Alice 2.4.2 from a DVD.  No problems other than it may be slightly slower to load.

It is possible to run Alice 2 off of a CD?

Alice 3 is 1 1.2+ BG application, and I am not sure so that may be a problem for a CD? Perhaps a DVD?

But it is possible to run Alice 3 off of a flash drive?

Keith Golebie is correct, performance will probably be an issue.
