alice-teacher Student worlds crashing

I have had similar experiences and I strongly recommend to my students that they save frequently, appending a version number to the file each time.  Alice version 2 automatically created backups of older versions of student projects and automatically reminded students to save.  Having this feature in Alice v3 would greatly reduce the frustration of having all your work disappear.

I have had the same experience this year.  It almost seems that any worlds complicated enough to interest my students as a game cannot be supported by Alice.  I have been surprised that I have not seen other similar complaints. Any hints on what we are doing wrong?
