alice-teacher Determining IF camera is pointing at (towards) an object in Alice 2.3

I have a student working on a game in Alice 2.3. He wants to include a method that determines IF the camera is pointing at or towards an object.

The only thing I could come up with is "shooting" invisible bullets (spheres/shapes) and checking for a collision.

There's got to be a better way.

Any help would be appreciated.
