alice-teacher Trouble with setting Preferences

Hello

My students have set their preferences with items such as the clipboards, the paths to the folders for saving files and the capturing of pictures.  All students are on the same network drive, and have the same access.  Our problem is that for some of the students, when they turn off Alice and then turn it back on the next time, all their preferences are reset back to the default.  The preferences for the other half of the students stayed as they had set them.  What can I look for to fix this problem?

Also, why can't we export Alice 2.2 programs as a web page?  We used to be able to do this.  When I go to the link that is listed to get the JAVA files, the link is broken.
