alice-teacher position question

We mark the original position of an object by using a "dummy" (found by
clicking "Add objects" and "more controls.") Make sure that the object
in question is selected in the Object Tree (i.e., the upper left panel),
by clicking on it in the Object Tree or in the world itself. Then,
click on "drop dummy at selected object." If this is your first
"dummy," a folder called "Dummy Objects" will appear in the Object Tree.
If you have already dropped some "dummies," this new one will be added
to the end of that folder. [I generally have students rename each dummy
appropriately, e.g. if this is a frog, we would rename the dummy "frog's
original position."] Now, to make the object return to its starting
position, use the object's "set point of view to" method and select the
"dummy" you just created. Voila! Changing the duration parameter to 0
can make it happen instantly, if that is what you wish. If you have
more than one character, you'll need to drop a "dummy" for each.

Is there a way to have a character(s) return to an original position?
For example, if 2 characters are racing, can we return to the start to
do it over? I know I can use multiple methods but is there a way within
one method to do this?
Thanks
