FYI - especially for those of you who are here in the early morning, you
will not have internet, email, oracle calendar access until around 6am on
Feb 14th.

WHAT: Scheduled Network Outage

WHERE:6555 Penn Avenue

DAY:             Thursday

DATE: February 14, 2008

TIME: Midnight - 6 a.m. 

 

SERVICES AFFECTED:

Within 6555 Penn Avenue, wired and wireless service and reliant services
(e.g., Internet connectivity, email, calendar, etc.) will be affected. Also
affected will be the Administrative Computing "DR" site. Additionally,
others will not have access to services hosted on servers within the 6555
Penn Avenue building. 

 

REASON FOR THE OUTAGE:

Fibertech, Carnegie Mellon's fiber provider for 6555 Penn Ave, is replacing
damaged fiber between the main campus and 6555 Penn Ave. 

 

Please direct any questions or comments to the Computing Services Help
Center (x8-HELP or advisor at andrew.cmu.edu), or to your departmental
administrator or DSP consultant.
