[SCA-BMDL] Youth Fighter Practice this Sunday

Unto all Youth Fighters and their parents,

The Kingdom Youth Champion's Tournament is only two weeks away - are you
ready? It will be held on Oct. 10 at Crown Tournament
<http://aethelmearc.org/eventinfo.php?event=931> in the Shire of Misty
Highlands (Morgantown, WV). Be at the list by 9 am if you need to
authorize, or by 9:30 for inspections. The bear-pit tourney will run from
10-11.

On Oct. 17 there will be a Youth Combat Tourney at Agincourt
<http://aethelmearc.org/eventinfo.php?event=1069>. So, TWO opportunities to
fight in tournaments in October - BUT, you must be an authorized fighter to
compete. So come to practice where we can ensure that you know the rules
and are ready to authorize!

Youth Fighter practice this Sunday will run from right after the Barony
meeting (roughly 2:00) until 5:00 pm this Sunday at Washington Blvd. and
Allegheny River Blvd in the East End of Pittsburgh. The site is here

Loaner gear will be available for interested kids ages 6-17 who wish to try
youthcombat. If your kid has any athletic equipment, especially elbow and
knee pads, hockey helmets and gloves, and for boys, athletic cups (groin
protection), please bring those along.

Remember that the site has no running water and only a portajohn for a
toilet. Bring a water bottle, and if you wish to have something to sit on
other than the grass, a folding chair is a good idea. Don't forget the
sunscreen.

Youth combat schedule going forward:

Sept. 27 - practice at Washington Blvd.
Oct. 4 - practice at Washington Blvd.
October 10 - Kingdom Youth Champs at Crown Tournament, Misty Highlands
(Morgantown, WV) (Saturday)
October 11 - practice at Washington Blvd.
October 17 - Youth Tourney at Agincourt (Saturday)
October 18 - NO practice, go to Agincourt on Saturday!
October 25 - practice at Washington Blvd.
November - keep an eye on the lists for the possibility of moving indoors
for the winter
