[SCA-BMDL] Youth Fighting at the Castle this Sunday! And at AEcademy on Nov. 14!

Unto all Youth Fighters and their parents,

Thanks to the six youth fighters who enjoyed zombie melees last weekend
(with Halloween candy), and to THLord Jussi who fought all of them singly,
and to Lord Robert who joined in the youth melees to help keep things
interesting.

This Sunday, November 8, youth fighter practice moves to the castle of
Prince Byron and Princess Ariella as part of the Fall Harvest Barony
meeting!

The castle is at 755 Stonegate Drive in Wexford, 15090. Map here:

the grass.

This is a social gathering, not an event, so garb is not required. Things
begin with archery and thrown weapons at 11 am and continue with the usual
rattan, youth combat, and fencing practices in the afternoon. BUT, there
will also be classes, a PIE contest, flinging of pumpkins from the parapets
(bring your own non-rotten pumpkin!), a performance by the Debatable Choir
at 1:15, Barony meeting at 1:30, and the tallying of the baronial election
ballots at 2:00 followed by the announcement of who will be the new Baron
and Baroness as soon as tallying is done. Festivities end at 6pm. More info

ALSO, the following weekend, on Saturday, November 14 at the AEthelmearc
AEcademy in the Shire of Riversedge (near Meadville PA, about 2 hours north
of Pittsburgh), I will be running youth fighting as part of a class for
adults seeking to become youth combat marshals. Time is TBD but I'll be
looking for youth fighters to arrive for the second hour of a two hour
class. If enough youth fighters attend, we'll have a tournament and
possibly melees. The event announcement is here

Youth combat schedule going forward:

November 8 - practice at Byron & Ariella's castle in Wexford, in
conjunction with the November Harvest Barony meeting
November 14 (Saturday) - youth fighting at AEthelmearc AEcademy
November 15 - last practice at Washington Blvd., weather permitting; if
inclement, we'll move to the Environmental Charter School
November 29 - NO PRACTICE, THANKSGIVING
December 6 - Practice at the Environmental Charter School (ECS)
December 13 - Practice at the ECS
December 20 - Practice at the ECS
