BMDL TWELFTH NIGHT ACTIVITIES

Gift Exchange – Love to exchange gifts? Bring a wrapped gift valued at around $10, and join in the exchange. The gift does not need to be period; popular items in the past have been related to adult beverages, fabric or sewing related, sci fi stuff, gift cards, and SCA-useful items. If you bring a strictly-adult gift, please mark it as such because children can and do participate. Deceptive packaging is encouraged!

Dancing and Music – The evening will end with our traditional Twelfth Night Ball, with music provided by the Debatable Consort. The more, the merrier, so everyone should plan on watching and whirling the evening away!

The Auction of Intrinsically Valuable but Sadly Misplaced Items – Here is your invitation to find your own personal new treasure, your own just-discovered must-have. Look over these items, bid high and bid often, then take away your heart's desire. Feel free to donate your own unneeded items so they can go to their new homes.

King and Queen of Misrule – Ever wanted to rule? This is your chance! Just take a piece of cake, and find the token to be crowned. You'll rule over the Court of Misrule, pick your favorites in the cookie contest, and hold your kingdom as long as you can!

Barony Meeting – At noon will be the January Barony Meeting, open as always to everyone. There will be some announcements from officers and others, and the agenda is open to anyone by simply emailing herald at debatablelands.org.

Food Drive – Contribute food (Suggested: juice boxes, mac and cheese, granola bars, cheese crackers, microwaveable popcorn, servings, pop tarts, fruit snacks, single serving applesauce, pudding, fruit, cereal or oatmeal) which will be given to students of Kelly and Turner Elementary Schools in the Wilkinsburg School District for the weekends. Let us share our bounty with others.

Debatable Choir – Take your ease while enjoying this wonderful concert of music prepared especially for Twelfth Night.

Baronial Court – Enjoy the pageantry and fun of the Baronial Court of Baroness Constance Glyn Dwr and Baron Uilliam Mac-an-tSaoir, to be held once the King and Queen of Misrule have been vacated from the premises – it is to be hoped that Their Excellencies have some strong arms near at hand!

(Midnight Madness in the) Marketplace – Here's a little taste of shopping at Pennsic, complete with Midnight – er – Evening Madness! Our merchants will be arriving early, and staying as late as they can to support your shopping needs. Please support our local vendors! It's not too late to join them – contact me!

One more message ought to do it! Stay tuned!
