[SCA-BMDL] Hand-beaten gold leaf for scribes

Master John the Artificer has notified me that he is going to try (try) to go to India this year, and there he will be having some gold beaten into leaf for him.  This is his famous "Cennini-weight" heavy leaf, 24K, that he has not been able to get for some years.  He isn't asking for any cash commitment, but he does need to know how much interest there will be so he has some idea of who will want it.  Keep in mind that the price of gold has gone up since the last time he sold this hand-beaten leaf, so it won't be the same old price.  But this is gold leaf so thick that you can pick it up with your fingers and it won't shred, so it's well worth it.  You can contact John at:  jartificer at aol.com

He also has some little European turnsole plants that can be transplanted to gardens.  These yield a blue-to-purple dye that can be used in *very* period illumination (but keep in mind that the dye is fugitive).  This would also be a nice Ice Dragon A&S project, to grow the plant, extract the dye, and process it for illumination (Laurels highly approve  ; )  )

Please repost this as you wish, though keep in mind that supplies of both gold and turnsole plants are very limited.
