[SCA-BMDL] Thrown Weapons at Pennsic

Greetings all --

Besides the classes and open throwing at Pennsic, there are some events at the thrown weapons range that you might enjoy:

Friday, August 5 at 8:00 PM
Thrown Weapons Night Tourney -- This tourney takes place at night, chemical glow sticks are attached to the handles of the weapons and are used as targets. Bring extra handles and be prepared to replace some as they are likely to get damaged.

Monday, August 8 at 12:00 PM
13th Annual Interkingdom Thrown Weapons Championship -- This 13th-annual contest is open to everyone from any kingdom. Contestants must throw knife, ax and spear at a variety of targets. Come on out and try for bragging rights to c all yourself the Interkingdom thrown weapons champion for the year.

Tuesday, August 9 at 3:00 PM
11th Annual East and Middle Thrown Weapons Champions -- This is the 11th-annual contest between the best throwers in the East and Middle with their Allies. The competition is limited to 12 champions per Kingdom (24 total). Come out and cheer your side on.

Wednesday, August 10 at 12:00 PM
Debatable Lands Thrown Weapons Challenge -- Compete in one of three levels: Novice, Intermediate or Advanced. For all ages. Parent or legal guardian must accompany and remain with any minor (under 18) taking this class.

Wednesday, August 10 at 4:00 PM
Heckler's Tourney -- This is the competition where hecklers try to distract the thrower by making them laugh. Use some judgment so families can bring their children. Come weasel your way into infamy, and help lower the "Pennsic Pomposity Meter".

Thursday, August 11 at 9:00 AM
Estrogen & Axes -- Ladies of the Known world, this is a thrown weapons completion just for you, no men allowed. This is an axes only event.


Thursday, August 11 at 2:30 PM
Two-handed Weapons Tourney -- A "bring your own weapon" Tourney--but it must be 2-handed.
