Greetings from Countess Genevieve:

(This message will also be posted on the AEthelmearc list.)

Just a reminder that we are still in need of items for the Pennsic 40
Gift Basket to the Kingdom of Ansteorra; Their Majesties Christopher
and Morgen have asked me to collect donations on their behalf.

We have already received a dozen bars of wonderful homemade soap and
some silk fabric (gold & green), and have been promised donations of:
scroll blanks, scroll cases, embroidered napkins (or other "soft
goods"), period cookies, and a blank book. Their Majesties are also
making a banner as one of the gifts.

In the past, the generous and talented people of AEthelmearc have
donated such items as: award medallions, pewter tokens, embroidered
items, needlebooks, candles, spices, trim, buttons, etc. Smaller
portable items are preferred by those who must travel far to Pennsic,
and of course hand-crafted items which showcase the work of our
talented artisans are always popular. Their Majesties Lochlan and Gwen
of Ansteorra have a web page which includes suggestions for small
items that can be given away as largesse, as well as lists of their
own personal preferences and pictures of their armory:

Donations of gift basket items may be delivered to the Hospitality
Tent in the AEthelmearc Royal Encampment during the first week of
Pennsic. We hope to receive all items by Sunday morning August 7th
(before or during the muster for Opening Ceremonies) as the gift
exchange usually occurs fairly early in the second week.

If anyone wishes to donate any items before Pennsic, please bring them
to the St. Swithen's Bog Three-Day event this weekend; I will only be
there on Saturday July 16th. Please contact me offline to make other
delivery arrangements, or if you have any questions send email
directly to me: g3dots at gmail.com

Please help Their Majesties continue this Pennsic tradition of
welcoming and generosity.

Yours,

Genevieve du Vent Argent
Former Baroness of the Debatable Lands
