Greetings!

Please come and join us at BMDL Sunday
fighter practice for A&S Afternoons! We will meet on
Sunday, January 30th at the Pittsburgh Chinese Church from 2pm until
6pm. There will be coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and snacks.

This week's topic:

Learn how to take measurements and then
use those measurements to construct a tunic pattern along the lines
of the Krageland gown, the original of which was found in the
Kragelund Bog by Viborg in Denmark. There will be a handout
provided. People who want to cut a tunic can bring 3-5 yards of
pre-washed cloth,
preferably linen, wool, or a blend with one of those. (Taller
and people size XL or greater should bring the larger amount.)

Discussion of what measurements fit to
other period clothing is optional if there is time and interest.

This week's class will be taught by
Ts'vee'a bas Tseepora Levi.

The address:

Pittsburgh Chinese Church
8711 Old Perry Hwy
Pittsburgh, PA  15237

Park in the down-slope lot off of
Highland Rd, walk around the side of the building, enter the first
door, and walk up the stairs to the room on the 3rd floor. Doors open
at 2pm. The room is a bit chilly so dress appropriately.

See you there!
Elss
