>From the Captain of Archers,
I just came back from the Washington Boulevard practice site. I had to get some archery in before the rain (I have some new bows to try out).
There is significant storm damage. There are two trees that have fallen on part of the site next to hillside. This won't interfere with archery or thrown weapons, but reduces the space for fighting a bit. There are broken branches everywhere. The main part of the site next to the road is fine.
This is also a reminder of the Regional Archer Muster to be held at Their Excellencies' Castle on Sunday, April 11th, the day after Coronation. It will run from 10 to 5. The non-event will be potluck. If you like, bring snacks or anything to share with your fellow archers. See the Althing for details.
I expect to begin holding outdoor practice for archery beginning Sunday, April 18th, We'll have the range set up as usual.
Looking further ahead, I'll be running the archery range at Aethelmearc War Practice. There will be the standard 10-20-30-40 yard range plus a clout shoot featuring a custom target created by the Lady Luceta di Cosimo with Beverage-and-Cookie prizes. I hope to have some novelty targets also. I ask all archery marshalls to take some time and help me to marshall the range.
