I bear good tidings from one of our friends, lately gone from our company, but we are not far from his thoughts today: Lord Ferdon of Glasger.

Lord Ferdon has had some trees cut don in his yard, in 18 inch logs for easy transport, in the Silver Maple and Oak varieties.  He didn't say how big around they are.  He says that we may go to his house and take as much as we like.  Use for burning at Pennsic, carving, other projects, whatever you will.

You may go there at any reasonable hour, and simply ring the doorbell to let them know you're in their backyard.  He lives in Greenfield only minutes from the Squirrel Hill exit on the parkway, at 984 Lilac St.  If you need his phone number, let me know.
