Saint John’s Abbey and University commissioned a hand-written, hand-illuminated
Bible in 1998. The calligraphy and accompanying illuminations are breathtaking. One of the illustrators, Suzanne Moore, will be lecturing on the project at Carnegie Mellon University. She intends to show images on the various pages. The lecture is free and open to the public. If you are interested in a modern-day interpretation of Medival manuscripts and their production, this is a lecture to attend.
