Good day...my name is Dee Thompson...your e-mail address was given to
me by Jen Green....Jennet the Gentle of Delftwood in Central New
York...My son is 18 years old and Saturday next the 6th  I have to
bring him to Pittsburgh where he is going to start as a student at the
Culinary Institute in the theatre district on Liberty Street.  I will
try to make this short...this is a major miracle...in the last two
years we have lost my husband and then lost everything in a fire...and
the insurance reneged...this kid has been through the mill, but we
have realised his dream as he was able to get a grant for
school...last week we found out it does not cover housing...would
there be anyone willing to allow him to stay with them..possibly two
weeks...while he gets settled into school and finds a job..they said
at the school it only takes two weeks for anyone there to get a
job...and they will also, along with anyone else willing...try to find
an inexpensive apartment or a place that needs a roommate...I am
already nervous about sending my son off to school...as any mother
would be..but now to have to not know where he is staying is very
hard..he is nervous, and I just cannot bear the idea of him not
starting school on time after all this....we would certainly
contribute to room and board...and also we can get references for him
if you need...he is a great kid ...not into any trouble ever....if you
can pass this along anywhere, I thank you...
