[SCA-BMDL] Events and the lack thereof

Hi folks,

There was discussion at Officers' meeting last night
about the total lack of event bids and planned events
after September.  It can't be because people don't
like events.  They do, don't they?

So I'm wondering four things: 
- if you've never autocratted an event, why not?
- if you haven't autocratted in the last three years,
why not?
- What would it take to get you to autocrat (again)?
- What kinds of events do people want to see?
