I just received the flowers that were sent from "The Barony."  Thank
you so much, everyone, not only for the flowers but also for the many
offers of assistance I have received.

Johan is now out of the ICU and in room 695 at Allegheny General.  He
can have visitors, flowers, etc., but he spends a lot of time sleeping
and may not have the energy to see a lot of people or do much talking
yet.  In addition, the doctors want him to start getting out of bed
soon, at least a little bit, and that along with whatever physical
therapy they start giving him will no doubt be very painful and tiring
for him.

There is good news.  Lord Thomas Byron of Haverford, aka Dr. Char
Branstetter, was kind enough to stop by today and review Johan's x-rays
and CT scans.  He said things are much better than they could have been
- damage to internal organs was minor, there's no damage to the spine
or his head, and most of the bone breaks are not around joints so they
should heal cleanly.  He anticipates that Johan will make a full
recovery, but it will take some time.
