Hi Benjamin,
Thank you very much for the suggestions. I extracted the label the way
you described and it matches the vendor label. I wouldn't think there
was reason for them to swap the color channel from one software version
to the other. So VIPS may be the place to investigate the color channel
swapping in associated images.

This is not a real problem for my application, I can swap the channel by
adding a line of ImageMagick to the script that I am using. I need to
rotate and add information to the label image anyway.
Thank you very much for making OpenSlide and VIPS available. They are so
indispensable for my application.
