Hi Alvaro,

Reading the data is straightforward.  The problem is that there's no way 
to tell openslide_read_region() what plane you want.  The current 
OpenSlide API has several such shortcomings (fluorescence channel, image 
sequence number, timeslice), and so the fix will not be trivial.  It's 
on the radar, but may not happen for a while.
