OpenSlide 3.3.1 released

does this mean that now it's safe to create a single openslide_t handle 
and use it in multiple threads to read data from a file? Up till now I 
instantiated lots of openslide_t handles, one per thread, to read data 
in parallel. Would it be quicker now to use just one handle? Of course I 
could just try out what I'm asking, but I'd like your opinion in this.
