The description represents our current understanding of the MIRAX 
format, so yes, it applies to version 1.9 brightfield images.

3DHISTECH has asked us to make clear that they do not support the 
OpenSlide project.  To avoid any chance of confusion, I prefer to leave 
their name out of the discussion.
