I would like to inform you of some exciting news regarding Aperio and
Leica Biosystems.
Today it was announced that Leica Biosystems will acquire Aperio as a
major initiative in growing its digital pathology capabilities.
Aperio is by far the largest solution provider to Life Sciences and
Healthcare for digital scanning equipment and software platforms for the
management of ePathology data and image analysis. The combination of
Leica?s laboratory pathology?s capabilities, including advanced reagents
and staining equipment together with Aperio?s digital slide and analysis
capabilities provides a strong end to end solution for research and
clinical laboratories.
Increasingly Aperio?s ePathology Solutions, including Telepathlogy and
PRECISION Analytics are taking a central role in biomarker development by
facilitating a collaborative GxP compliant platform between organizations,
which speeds the delivery of personalized healthcare. The ability of
Pharma?, CRO?s, reagent companies and other collaborating organizations to
work within an integrated pathology environment
is a major step forward.
This acquisition as truly exciting for both the Life Science and
Healthcare Divisions of Aperio. If you have any questions please do not
hesitate to contact me,
