Hi John / Yuepeng,

For the recitation tomorrow, please do a review for the midterm
(Wednesday). The midterm covers everything I did from the chain rule
(including the chain rule) up to what I finished Friday (tangent spaces
of surfaces). Roughly this includes:

    Chain rule
    Higher order differentiation / Taylor's theorem
    Maxima / minima
    Inverse / implicit function theorems.
    Manifolds
    Tangent spaces

Do examples / problems / theorems on this material as you see fit. Last
time one of you picked an example that appeared as question 1 on the
exam -- just so that everyone knows this was co-incidence, I'm copying
the whole class on this email :)
