HasChildren flag on two mailboxes with similar name

I have tried, but it did not change anything. I have done this:

- stop cyrus
- export mailboxes.db
- added "improved_mboxlist_sort: 1" to imapd.conf
- imported mailboxes.db
- start cyrus

what is the minimum cyrus version that supports improved_mboxlist_sort? 
I'm still on v2.2.12.
