optimized mode for empty maildrop...

Hello,

I just installed a 2.3 system, and am looking to decrease 
the syslog verbosity.  This system has mostly POP accounts, and  the log
 message "optimized mode for empty maildrop" is all the eye can see, hundreds of them per minute.  Is
 there a way to limit the logging to success/fail/delivered and reduce 
the rest?
