reconstruct caused mailboxes (skiplist) corruption?

Confirmed: bug in FreeBSD's truss.  If you must truss, always
run it with a specified output file, which should avoid the
bug.  Otherwise a random file (mailboxes.db in this case) will
get random stderr junk written to it!
