authentication question

Hello,

My mail server appears to be working fine, iow users can log in and 
check mail, but I am confused by this sort of thing in my logs:

Why does the tls_start_servertls fail abnormally, and then work fine 
with the same ip a few seconds later? I don't think this is a user 
problem, as it happens too frequently to be a user putting in the wrong 
password. Anyone know what status 75 is or what might cause intermittent 
failure of tls?
