Debian uses /dev/urandom for a long time:

# strings /usr/lib/libsasl2.so.2 | grep random
/dev/urandom

And according to the logs I have, after a pop3 process got stuck other
IMAP users can still log in using TLS+PLAIN, so entropy can be ruled
out.
