Well, for one, you would need something along the lines of the following in your imapd.conf file to change over to Skiplist:

annotation_db:        skiplist
duplicate_db:         skiplist
mboxkey_db:           skiplist
mboxlist_db:          skiplist
quota_db:             skiplist
seenstate_db:         skiplist
tlscache_db:          skiplist
