BUG with Cyrus Authentication

Hi,

ok i think where the problem is and maybe there are a BUG !!!



If we connect via the mail-client at first and with pop3 port 110 we got an
authentication popup and we can connect. (imap Auth meth. /etc/passwd
***pam***)

After this we change the mail-client config now imap port 143 yipi we got
also an authentication popup and we can connect. :-)

BUT....If we connect the first time with imap we got a popup with the
message "The Login are rejected from Server" ( Thunderbird ) :-(


Maybe there is a BUG in the cyrus/saslauthd ?!?!?

cyrus_imapd_utils-2.2.12,REV=2005.10.04-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz
saslauthd-2.1.21-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz

SunOS imapserver 5.9 Generic_118558-25 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100

since you're located in Cologne ... ;-)

Your config looks OK, but we need to see logging. Depending on your 
syslog.conf and build parameters the logging should probably be in 
/var/adm/messages or /var/log/maillog. If that doesn't help, try sniffing 
the connection with ethereal or tcpdump or snoop.
