detecting admin user through imap connection ... ?

is there a 'safe way' to do that?

basically, if I login as a 'normal user', I can't create a new mailbox 
(only a new folder), so is there some way of probing if logged in user has 
the ability to create a mailbox *through* the imap connection itself?
