Then make your main.cf like this:
mailbox_transport = lmtp:unix:/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp
And again, make sure your lmtp on the postfix side is not running
chrooted. Check master.cf, a line like this should appear:
lmtp unix - - n - - lmtp
