error in instalation cyrus-sasl-2.1.20 in freebsd 4.9

Use the port.
If you cannot use the ports, I suggest you take a look at the port anyway
in freebsd.org/ports
There you can see what patches they use to make it work in freebsd.
PS. if using the ports consider make argument: WITH_BDB_VER= or it
defaults to install db3 I think. (I am using Freebsd 5.3.)
