SASL problems

yes this means that you have the user in your sasldb, but the error
below shows that you try to authenticate with PAM !
so no mater what you have in your sasldb, it won't work.
so if you want sasl to work with sasldb you should set the config in
imapd.conf 
sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop
sasl_auxprop_plugin: sasldb

if you want to use it with pam then you will have to look for/create the
cyrus user somewhere else.
