 This is about 'user-name' part, what you're having is an 'address
 detail' part that contains '/' (see
 ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc3598.txt by someone called Ken :).

 about 2) I have no extensive information/experience, but postfix does not
 seems to mind about it.
