Im a bit confused.

I just built Cyrus imap server.
Launched it and its working.
But I can't get authentificated... thats not really surprising
as I am pretty confused in the authentification mechanism used
by cyrus imap.

Can someone help me with this.
I can't seems to find something that explains the
way it work.

How imap authentificate user.
How is it related to SASL.
I know the different authentification method,
but don't quite understand how to configure them
and what's needed.

I would add this: Can I use MS Active Directory
kerberos server for user authentification?

Thanx for any help or any direction to documentation I might have missed.
