Messages marked as seen

Hi,

I'm using cyrus imapd v2.2.3, and I'm experiencing some strange behavior.
One of my coworkers was having problems with his INBOX, all mails arriving
in it would be marked as seen unless the INBOX is opened (in his mua --
mulberry, same as me). He though it was his mulberry doing some strange
things, so... Now, I'm experiencing the same behavior in some other mailbox
(not my INBOX), that is, an email arrive in it and it's marked as seen,
unless it's open. As I have a fairly big amount of mailboxes, I'm beginning
to wonder if this behavior is not happening somewhere else...

I've cursed sieve, but after some testing (adding a removeflags "\\Seen"
just before the fileinto) I don't think it is.

Where/How could I continue my search ?
